LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP APPLAUDS DECISION TO INCORPORATE CLIMATE CHANGE IN NEW JERSEY K-12 CURRICULUM
TRENTON – The following is a statement from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on the decision to include climate change in New Jersey’s K-12 curriculum.
“As a former science teacher, I look forward to seeing how this generation of students will create new ways to apply what they learn and work toward saving the planet from the devastating and disproportionate impacts of climate change. It is a problem that impacts those most vulnerable, largely along lines of color, who need committed and visionary young leaders to drive solutions forward,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “We congratulate New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy on her successful and inspiring push to incorporate climate change in the K-12 curriculum in New Jersey.”
