NJ League of Conservation Voters Legislative Update
on Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee Hearing

“We are excited that Senate Bill S228 passed out of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. This bill will make it easier for school districts to buy clean electric school buses and help ensure our children have clean air to breathe on their way to school instead of sucking in diesel fumes,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey LCV. “New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the nation, and air pollution from transportation continues to be a monumental public health problem. Every step we take to improve our air quality makes a difference, especially for our children.”

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to elect environmental champions, hold public officials accountable, and support laws which protect our environment and improve the quality of people’s lives.
