New Jersey LCV hails Egg Harbor approval of key offshore wind infrastructure

TRENTON - New Jersey League of Conservation Executive Director Ed Potosnak issued the following statement on Egg Harbor Township’s approval of the Cardiff Substation expansion to support Atlantic Shores Project 1:

“Egg Harbor Township took the correct action in approving the Cardiff Substation proposal to support Atlantic Shores Project 1. After doing due diligence in learning about all phases of the construction project, township officials made the right choice for New Jersey residents. The decision will help power 700,000 homes and contribute $2 billion to the New Jersey economy. The project will put people to work in high paying union jobs and ensure that New Jersey successfully transitions to a future beyond dirty fossil fuels where our children will be able to breathe easier.”
