New Jersey LCV Hails Assembly Passage of Amended Bill to Preserve New Jersey School of Conservation

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Ed Potosnak has released the following statement in response to the Assembly’s passage of an amended bill that will preserve the internationally recognized New Jersey School of Conservation by turning stewardship of the institution over to the non-profit Friends of the School of Conservation:

“We are pleased that the General Assembly has moved quickly to pass an amended bill to preserve the internationally recognized New Jersey School of Conservation by turning over stewardship to the Friends of the School of Conservation. These amendments respond to technical changes requested by Governor Murphy.

We thank the Assembly sponsors, particularly Assemblyman John McKeon, for their strong advocacy on behalf of this legislation, which will open up a new chapter for the School, allowing it to grow as a center of learning, research and outreach for years to come.

We look forward to the Senate quickly concurring with these amendments and allowing the School to continue their important work.”
