LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP CELEBRATES PSEG DECISION TO DIVEST IN FOSSIL FUEL POWER PLANTS
TRENTON – The following is a statement from Henry Gajda, Policy Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on the decision by PSEG to divest from its fossil fuel power plants.
“We are thrilled to see that Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) is going forward with plans to divest from its fossil fuel power plants, a move that will help accelerate New Jersey’s move toward a 100% clean energy future,” said Henry Gajda, Policy Director, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “The markets are on our side; clean energy is where the money is. As profits are on the line, companies like PSEG are realizing what’s best for the environment is what’s best for shareholders, and that’s to move away from dirty fossil fuels.”
