Steve Fulop
Steven Fulop is running for re-election for mayor of Jersey City. Born in Edison, Mayor Fulop was previously Councilman for Jersey City’s Ward E. He holds both a Master of Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business and a Master of Public Administration at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
Mayor Fulop has made environmental best practices a major priority in his administration. He invested over $6 million dollars into public parks in Jersey City, and has been an outspoken advocate for open space, including protesting the Governor’s proposal to privatize Liberty State Park. Jersey City has also been a major player in turning brownfields into beautiful open space, including Berry Lane Park, the city’s largest municipal park. For his recent efforts, Jersey City was recently named the 10th greenest city in the nation.
