Senator Nicholas Scutari
Senator Nicholas Scutari is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Senate in the 22nd District, which covers municipalities in parts of Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties.
Before being elected to the State Senate in 2003, Senator Scutari served on the Union County Commissioner and Planning Boards. He is the Chair of the Judiciary Committee and is currently the Majority Whip. Senator Scutari has been supportive of numerous environmental issues including the Cumulative Impacts bill, has presided over multiple Department of Environmental Protection commissioner hearings, and has a long pro-environmental voting record in the Senate.
